Dear friend,

When we decided to launch the Boston Rock Academy, despite the bad economic timing, we did it for one reason: to fill the void that was left by so many arts and music programs that had been diminished or eliminated due to school cutbacks. Since our launch in September of 2008, those cutbacks have become even more widespread, making our cause so much more important to us.

Parents never wish to sacrifice their child’s learning or opportunities for exploration and discovery, but in times like these many are forced to strip away those extracurricular activities that they simply can no longer budget for.

We understand this. And we also know the benefit to a child’s self-esteem from playing an instrument and participating in ensemble performance. It is an escape from the everyday and a promise of what the future can hold. The Boston Rock Academy was created to fulfill those needs, but now we need to take one more dramatic step.

Our mission is to offer ensemble learning to all students willing to participate regardless of their ability to pay. We strive to provide that critical, missing piece to those who are denied because of school cutbacks and a worsening economic picture.

To accomplish this goal, the Boston Rock Academy is asking for your support. We have designed our programs to succeed and have a model that has proven beneficial for students and parents alike.

At the present time, we are allocating our funds as follows:
50% Scholarships and Community Outreach
25% 501c3 Application and Preparation Fees
25% Operating Costs

We ask for any donation you feel comfortable making. Please know, that if financial support is not a viable option for you at this point, we welcome any assistance you may be able to offer, be it access to a facility our students could benefit from visiting, to spending sometime in one of our classes, or sharing your experience and special brand of expertise.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions or ideas you may have. We strive to make a difference in the lives of the students we instruct, and we hope to include you in our and their futures.
